Q1: How do I synchronize my data from my device to my computer?
Answer:
Microsoft® ActiveSync® 4.1 or above must be installed on the computer before users can start synchronization.
Q2: Can I synchronize with Outlook Express instead of Microsoft Outlook?
Answer:
Microsoft ActiveSync only recognizes Microsoft Outlook. A third party synchronization software must be installed in order to do this.
Q3: Why does my device not respond to synchronizing even though Microsoft ActiveSync has been installed?
Answer:
You may want to check for any existing firewall or antivirus programs running in the background. Kindly disable and attempt to sync again.
In addition, make sure the Clients for Microsoft Networks, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties are checked in the Local Area Connection Properties setting in the PC. For details refer to ActiveSync 4.0/4.1/4.2 USB Connection Troubleshooting Guide. Alternatively, you may want to try to change the Activesync Mode. Tap Start > Settings > Connections > USB Settings > Activesync (low speed) .
Q4: Can I synchronize my device with more than one computer?
Answer:
To synchronize your Xda Atom Life with more than one computer, select "I want to synchronize with two computers" in Microsoft ActiveSync setup wizard.
Q5: Can I not synchronize all my future appointments into my Xda Atom Life?
Answer:
No, it is a feature implemented into Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.
